PM attends Independence Day celebrations, meets Oppn leaders
PRIME Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday concluded his two-day visit to the Maldives, underscoring a renewed phase in bilateral ties with outreach to leaders across the political spectrum and participation as the guest of honour at the country's 60th Independence Day celebrations.
Modi was warmly received by President Mohamed Muizzu and his Cabinet at the iconic Republic Square in Male, where he attended a military parade and cultural performances marking the milestone occasion.
