Every district to have a cancer treatment centre: Minister

MINISTER for Medical Education Dr Sharan Prakash Patil has said that the state government has decided to set up a cancer treatment centre in all the districts of the state and also assured to conduct a study in Uttara Kannada district to know the reasons behind the increasing number of cancer patients.
Speaking after laying the foundation stone for the cancer hospital in Karwar, Minister Patil said that keeping the public health in mind, the state government aims to set up one cancer hospital each in all the districts.
