Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (Dr. AIT) is more than just an educational institution—it is a hub of innovation, creativity, and opportunity.

- BY DR. M. N. THIPPESWAMY

Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (Dr. AIT) is more than just an educational institution—it is a hub of innovation, creativity, and opportunity. The college proudly fosters an environment where excellence is encouraged and ideas come to life. Through a rich blend of student-led clubs, national and international competitions, global exposure programs, technical workshops, and strong industry partnerships, Dr. AIT offers one of the most comprehensive platforms in the country for students to develop their potential and make a meaningful impact.

Clubs That Drive Innovation

Dr. AIT is home to several active student clubs that promote learning beyond textbooks. These clubs bring students together across departments and interests, giving them the chance to apply their skills to real-world projects. One of the leading teams is Saranyu Racing, under the DRAIT Motorsports Club. The team includes 22 students from Mechanical, Aeronautical, Computer Science, ECE, and CSBS departments. It represents the college at Formula Student events by designing, building, and testing race cars—an experience that combines engineering precision, teamwork, and strategic thinking.

The NANOGRAM Tech Hub, led by the Electronics and Communication Department, encourages students to explore embedded systems, electronics, and circuit design through hands-on activities and team projects.

The Student Welfare Office engages the student community by establishing various clubs to bring students across the departments with similar interests on a single platform. The Google Developer Club and 10X (Code Ninja) clubs engage students to create awareness of the latest technologies and tools by conducting workshops.
