DC for Strict Implementation of Child Labour Prohibition Law

UTTARA Kannada Deputy Commissioner K. Lakshmi Priya has instructed the officials of the Labour Department to strictly enforce the Child Labour and Adolescent Labour Prohibition Act in the district and to organise extensive inspection and awareness programmes.
She was presiding over the District Level Task Force Committee and Executive Committee meeting of the District Child Labour Project Society at the Deputy Commissioner's office meeting hall on Tuesday.
She said that the district and taluk-level officials of various departments appointed under the Child Labour and Adolescent Labour Act should conduct widespread inspections in the district.
