THE Karnataka State Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University (Amendment) Bill, 2024, was passed in the Assembly on Tuesday, even as members of the Opposition BJP and JDS staged a walkout, stating that it is politically-motivated and is hate politics against the Governor, who is also chancellor of universities in the state.
