Net direct tax collections rise 13% to ₹21.26 lakh cr in FY25

NET direct tax collections in 2024-25 (till 16 March 2025) have jumped 13% to ₹21.26 lakh crore compared to ₹18.80 lakh crore in the same period previous year, largely driven by strong growth in personal income tax collections.
The government expects the full year collection from direct taxes at ₹22.4 lakh crore.
