Farmers Seek Better Network Before Digi Survey

WITH the agriculture department set to conduct the 'Digital Crop Survey', farmers in Dharmapuri urged the administration at the farmers' grievances day meeting at the collector's office on Friday, to ensure internet facilities to be set up in all government offices to improve the efficiency of the survey.
Officials disclosed that the survey for the summer season would be conducted across the district by deputing over 770 staff to record the crops sown. However, farmers expressed concerns about the lack of proper digital infrastructure such as internet connections in several panchayats.
