FUELED by an unbeaten 50-ball 82 from Shivam Singh, Dindigul Dragons defeated Lyca Kovai King's by seven wickets in the inaugural fixture of the ninth edition of the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) at the CDCA-Sri Ramakrishna college cricket ground in Coimbatore on Sunday.
The opening pair of Shivam and skipper Ravi Ashwin gave a good start for Dindigul, in their pursuit of a 150-run target. Ashwin was done in by the bounce and was caught and bowled by Rohit. Shivam batted through the innings, first with Vimal Khumar and then with Hunny Saini, taking the team home in 17.2 overs.
