BASED on an order from the District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Red Bus India Private Limited handed over a Demand Draft (DD) of ₹15,130 to a passenger, after a private omnibus dropped the passenger 6 km away from his destination near Kurumbur in Thoothukudi district on Saturday.
Sources said the passenger G. Irudhayaraja, who is also the district president of Tamil Nadu Vanigar Sangangalin Peramaippu, booked a ticket to Kurumbur in an omnibus through the 'Red Bus' application on August 26, 2023.
