Figures show state’s ability to sustain high growth: Min

MAHARASHTRA grew from ₹31.4 lakh crore to ₹45.3 lakh crore during the same period but posted lower annual growth rates compared to TN's latest 16% surge.

Growth-rate comparisons underline TN's standout performance. While Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Gujarat reported nominal growth in the range of 10% to 13% in 2024-25, TN has crossed the 16% threshold. UP registered 12.7% growth.The state's per capita GSDP has also strengthened significantly, rising from ₹2.42 lakh in 2021-22 to an estimated ₹3.62 lakh in 202425, placing TN second among major states, just behind Karnataka. In comparison, Maharashtra's per capita GSDP stands at ₹3.09 lakh, Gujarat's at ₹3.31 lakh and UP's
