IN the first major event held in the Valley after the Pahalgam terror attack in April, the second edition of Kashmir Marathon 2025 was organised in Srinagar on Sunday to revive tourism and promote Kashmir as a global hub for sports and adventure.

Over 1,100 runners, including 77 foreigners from 11 countries, participated in the event, spreading a message of peace, fitness, and resilience.

The marathon was jointly flagged off by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Bollywood actor Sunil Shetty from Polo View, Srinagar at 6 am. The scenic route passed through Dal Lake and the Zabarwan Range.
