BATTLE lines have been drawn in Bihar’s Mokama assembly constituency ahead of the first-phase polls on November 6, as two don-turned-politicians, Anant Singh and Surajbhan Singh, prepare for a high-octane electoral clash.
Anant Singh, a five-time MLA, is back in the fray after being released from jail. Fond of luxury cars, keeping horses, wearing stylish hats and spectacles, he is popularly known as “Chhote Sarkar” among his supporters. Recently acquitted by the Patna High Court in an Arms Act case, he had earlier faced arrest for possessing sophisticated weapons, including AK-47 rifles and hand grenades.
