US tariff: Rajasthan seeks diaspora help

THE Rajasthan government is taking several measures — including reaching out to nonresident Rajasthani businessmen based overseas — to help exporters find alternative markets for key products such as carpets, textiles, and gems and jewellery, which have been hit hard by US tariffs.
India is anyway negotiating with the US to reduce tariffs. But we have to look for newer markets. We are already supporting our exporters to travel to international fairs, set up stalls, and conduct outreach Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Rajasthan Commerce and Industry Minister
