Nellore to get ₹9-cr Smart Street Vending Market for urban vendors

THE State government has approved the establishment of a Smart Street Vending Market on Mypadu Road in Nellore city to uplift urban street vendors and promote sustainable urban infrastructure.
The initiative, estimated at ₹7-9 crore, will be a pilot project under the Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas (MEPMA).
MEPMA Mission Director Tej Bharath explained that the project, under the guidance of Municipal Administration Minister Dr P Narayana, aims to transform street vending into an organised, inclusive, and eco-friendly sector.
