Officials make elaborate arrangements including parking zones, toilets and drinking water
The historic Rottela Panduga (Roti festival) will be celebrated on a grand scale in Nellore from July 6 to 10, with elaborate arrangements being made under the supervision of the Nellore Municipal Corporation (NMC). With an estimated budget of ₹3.5 crore, officials are working to ensure a smooth and spiritually enriching experience for the thousands of devotees expected from across the country.
The festival, held at the historic Bara Shaheed Dargah on the banks of Swarnala tank, is renowned for the unique ritual of exchanging rotis among devotees. This symbolic act is deeply rooted in faith, with devotees offering homemade rotis as a token of gratitude for wishes already fulfilled, while others receive them, hoping for their prayers to be answered.
