UNION Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday said that Hindi is not in conflict with any Indian language, emphasizing that "Hindi is the friend of all Indian languages."
Speaking as the chief guest at the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Department of Official Language, Shah underscored the integral role of language in a nation's identity and development.
Describing language as the "soul of a nation," Shah said that it is not merely a means of communication, but also embodies the spirit of a country. "Hindi language cannot be inimical to any Indian language. Hindi is a friend of all Indian languages, and together, Hindi and other Indian languages can take the programme of enhancing our self-pride to its ultimate goal," he said.
