Vodafone Idea moves SC seeking waiver of ₹45k crore in AGR dues

TELECOM SERVICE provider Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL) has filed an application in the Supreme Court seeking permission to amend its earlier writ petition in the adjusted gross revenue (AGR) case.

In the amended petition, the company has asked the Court to allow new grounds to secure relief from nearly 45,000 crore in penalties, interest, and "interest on penalty." In its plea, VIL has requested the Court to direct that no penalty, interest, or interest on penalty be payable on the principal AGR dues, and to pass
