Sebi extends margin pledge execution deadline

CAPITAL markets regulator Sebi has extended the deadline for implementation of a new framework pertaining to the process of margin obligations via pledge and re-pledge within the depository system to October 10, 2025, from the earlier date of September 1.
The extension comes after the regulator received representation from depositories -CDSL and NSDL - requesting for an extension to carry out system developments and to ensure system readiness by carrying end-to-end testing.
Sebi said on Monday in a circular.
