SC stays Ayush ministry's order on misleading ads on Ayurveda drugs

THE Supreme Court on Tuesday stayed the Ministry of Ayush's July 1 notification omitting Rule 170 of the Drugs and Cosmetic Rules 1945, which prohibits misleading advertisement of Ayurveda, Siddha, or Unani drugs.
Stating that the omission was in the teeth of the court's May 7 order, a two-judge bench of Justices Hima Kohli and Sandeep Mehta passed the order.
