Navy to test first 'drone boat' after monsoon to boost sea surveillance

THE Indian Navy plans to test its indigenous Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) post-monsoon. This will add up to the indigenous systems being added by the Navy with the support of domestic orgnisations.
“The first test of the USV will be post-monsoon, somewhere between September and November when the vessel will sail from Goa to Mumbai,” said a defence source. Initially, it will test the basic parameters, sources added.
