Naidu gets SC relief in cash-for-vote scam

IN a major relief to Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu in the high-profile cash-for-vote scam, the Supreme court on Wednesday dismissed two petitions that sought to include him as an accused in the case and to transfer the probe to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).
The apex court's two-judge bench, comprising Justice M M Sundresh and Justice Aravind Kumar, dismissed the appeal filed by YSRC leader and former MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy, also known as RK, seeking a direction for transfer of the probe to the CBI.
The top court not only dismissed the petition, but also issued a stern warning to RK, cautioning him against using the judiciary as a platform for political gains.
