Make Aadhaar Registration Foolproof, L-G Directs Govt

'Illegal immigrants obtaining document a national security concern'

Lieutenant Governor (L-G) V K Saxena has urged the Delhi government to make Aadhaar registration in the capital "foolproof," while highlighting that illegal immigrants obtaining the document has wider ramifications for national security.

Ashish Kundra, Principal Secretary to L-G, in a letter to the Chief Secretary, said during Security Review Meetings, it has come to the attention of L-G that several illegal immigrants have managed to secure Aadhaar cards using forged documentation.
