India, Afghan minister talk on Chabahar to boost trade

AN Indian delegation offered the use of Chabahar port in Iran to businesses in Afghanistan and discussed extending humanitarian aid to Kabul.
The delegation was led by JP Singh, Joint Secretary (Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran) in the Ministry of External Affairs.
"The Indian delegation visited Afghanistan on November 4 and 5 and met their acting defence minister Mullah Mohammad Yaqoob and former President Hamid Karzai. Several meetings were held with various ministers and UN agencies," MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said on Thursday.
Singh also met acting foreign minister Amir Khan Muttaqi and discussed bilateral relations. Muttaqi is learnt to have requested for visa facilitation for Afghan traders.
