IIM Ranchi revises syllabus, includes tribal languages

THE Indian Institute of Management-Ranchi, in a bid to be inclusive and mindful of tribal communities and cultures, has introduced elective courses called ‘Enrichement Electives’ that will provide students an opportunity to learn tribal languages.
The course has been introduced across all the first three years of the Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), providing an opportunity to students to learn a local tribal language as part of their elective course in second year.
These ‘Enrichment Electives’ would provide a fresh perspective to students through courses like cinematography, Socratic dialogues, water management, sports management, story-telling, human connect, drama and theatre, art and painting among others.
