Hosabale Renews Pitch for Removal of 'Socialism', 'Secularism' from Preamble

RSS Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale on Thursday sought removal of 'socialism' and 'secularism' from the Preamble, saying the terms were forcibly introduced during the Emergency and were never part of the Constitution drafted by B.R. Ambedkar.
He said that the Congress must apologise for the imposition of Emergency by the Indira Gandhi government 50 years ago, adding that it was the biggest blow to democracy.
