HARYANA Director General of Police O.P. Singh on Tuesday directed senior officials to investigate the “security lapses” that enabled several doctors to join a “white-collar” terror module and use Al Falah University in Dhouj, Faridabad, as their hideout.

- HARPEET BAJWA @Chandigath

Singh, who visited the university and spent nearly four hours inspecting the premises, also ordered that the missing faculty members linked to the case be traced at the earliest.

He instructed officials to check all religious institutions and ensure that fundamentalist elements are not influencing anyone towards sectarianism.

Singh was accompanied by ADIG/CID officials during the visit. He interacted with security personnel, administrative staff, students, faculty members, local residents and the family of the mosque cleric associated with the university. He personally inspected locations reportedly used as hideouts by the arrested individuals.
