Gujarat's biggest betting kingpin in CBI net

THE Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday said that, in collaboration with Gujarat police and the Union ministries of external affairs and home, it has successfully brought back wanted fugitive and economic offender Harshit Babulal Jain from the UAE.
In an official statement, the CBI said Jain was wanted by Gujarat Police in a case of tax evasion, illegal gambling and money laundering. He had earlier got the Red Corner Notice (RCN) published against Jain through Interpol on August 9, 2023, at the request of Gujarat Police. "Jain was deported from the UAE and was handed over to Gujarat Police on Friday at Ahmedabad International Airport," the agency said.
