Didi injured after 'push from behind', now stable

WEST Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) boss Mamata Banerjee on Thursday evening sustained a deep cut on her forehead and injured her nose after she was “pushed from behind” at her Kalighat residence in south Kolkata. She was rushed to the state-run SSKM Hospital, where doctors attended to her injuries and closed her wound with four stitches.
“Honourable Chief Minister of West Bengal Mamata Banerjee reported to our hospital today 7.30 pm with a history of fall within the vicinity of her home due to some push from behind. She had a cerebral concussion and sharp cut wound on her forehead and nose,” said Manimoy Bandyopadhyay, director of SSKM Hospital, while reading out the medical bulletin.
