Decision to not join RCEP vindicated by global trends: Goyal

INDIA is well-positioned to engage in bilateral partnerships with countries that value reciprocity, trust, and fair play, Minister of Commerce and Trade Piyush Goyal has said amid heightened tension between the US and others over reciprocal tariff.
He said India's decision not to join the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) in 2019 has been vindicated by current global trends.
The minister, who was speaking at the 9th Global Technology Summit on Friday in New Delhi, has refuted concerns about external pressure on India's trade decisions.
