Akhilesh expels 3 MLAs for anti-party activities, backing BJP in RS polls

The Samajwadi Party on Monday expelled three MLAs for allegedly voting in favour of the BJP candidate who eventually won the Rajya Sabha election last February.
The party posted on X, naming the three legislators—Gosainganj MLA Abhay Singh, Gauriganj MLA Rakesh Pratap Singh, and Unchahar MLA and former chief whip Manoj Kumar Pandey. They are charged with going against the party's core values, working with "communal, divisive, and negative ideologies," and refusing to change their ways.
