THE Joint Parliamentary Committee on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill is scheduled to meet on September 18, 19 and 20 at the Parliament House Annexe, official sources said.

On September 18, officials from the Ministry of Minority Affairs will present their oral evidence before the committee.

The next day, the JPC will hear opinions or recommendations of some experts and stakeholders, including Prof Faizan Mustafa, Vice Chancellor of Chanakya National Law University, Patna; Pasamanda Muslim Mahaaz; and the All India Muslim Personal Law Board. On September 20, inputs will be sought from the All India Sajjadanashin Council, Ajmer; Muslim Rashtriya Manch, Delhi; and Bharat First, Delhi on the Bill, the sources said.
