Step-grandfather jailed for 25 years for raping girl

A 62-YEAR-OLD step-grandfather has been sentenced in the Ncourt Sexual Offences Court in Matlosana to 25 years for the rape and sexual assault of a child.
The crimes took place in 2017, after the man’s wife left him holding their granddaughter’s house in Kanana.
The court heard that on several occasions the man would convince the girl to come to his room to touch him inappropriately before raping her.
