Reviving the Y2K concealer lip trend: tips for a modern twist

BEAUTY trends have a habit of coming full circle, and one of the most surprising revivals of the year is the return of the concealer lip.
In the ongoing wave of Y2K nostalgia, everything from ultra-low-rise jeans to chunky platform flip-flops has re-emerged, and now, the pale, nearly-erased lip look is back in rotation.
For those who experienced the early 2000s first-hand, this might feel like déjà vu of the less welcome kind.
Among the era's more controversial beauty choices was the concealer lip.
Because there was a lack of nude lipstick colours on the market back then, women tried to achieve a nude pout using foundation or concealer in place of lipstick.
The look aimed to draw attention to bold eye make-up or pencil-thin brows.
