Woman held after fatal crash on Merseyside

A South Tyneside woman has been arrested following a fatal collision that claimed the life of a motorcyclist on Merseyside.

Emergency services were called to Northway in Maghull around 8.30am on Wednesday, after reports of a crash involving a Suzuki motorbike and a blue Renault Zoe outside the Aldi store at the junction of Dover Road.
The motorcyclist, identified as 34 year old Jay Newby-Gallagher from Maghull, was pronounced dead at the scene.
