NEWCASTLE United boss Eddie Howe said he would take “full responsibility” for the Magpies’ 3-1 defeat at Brentford.

During an intense press conference, Howe shielded his players from blame and said he was the one who stood up in the dressing room at full-time as a major inquest began into the terrible away form.
Howe's side have failed to win on the road since April.
The head coach said: “We have an experienced team and occasionally those players speak. But | think it was important for me to speak and give my message to the team.
“In times of adversity is when your character is tested and your true character is revealed. We need to be very calm and measured, reflective and come out of this period with a way forward... a way that we're going to be successful away from home.
