United target shuts out transfer 'noise'
The Journal
|April 29, 2025
NEWCASTLE United transfer target James Trafford admits his current focus is on a well-earned summer break and then the upcoming England internationals - despite speculation swirling over a potential summer move away from Burnley.
The Turf Moor shot-stopper has enjoyed a record-breaking year, keeping a whopping 29 clean sheets and conceding just 15 goals so far this season.
The Clarets' promotion was confirmed at the weekend, meaning they will once again be playing Premier League football next term. Meanwhile, Newcastle pursued Trafford last summer but a move failed to materialise amid £20m talks.
That interest hasn't gone away with a renewed attempt to lure the keeper (right) to St James' Park highly possible in the coming months.
