This weekend I'll take care of my additional needs
The Journal
|May 30, 2025
EVERYONE has additional needs. All of us.
Apologies if you've already heard me this week/month/year banging on about it, but it's a truth that I feel very strongly about.
Advocating for the additional needs of others is a wonderful thing.
Identifying our own additional needs, then building a life that supports them, is when we get to be masters of our own well-being.
There is no better scenario that reinforces this belief than the one many of us are currently living through:
Half term holidays. Yes, again. Even though we only just had one approximately 10 minutes ago.
Mr C and I have many, many children. All of whom have completely different personalities and temperaments.
And all of whom are home for the holidays.
Together time is great. But it would be better if there wasn’t a constant monsoon raining down upon us. It really does limit what we can do together.
One of my children has limited mobility. So bracing nature walks as a family is not on the agenda.
