FIRSTLY, how to entice you in? Should that have been ‘Dear Readers’ for a start? Probably not the most enticing question.

- Peter Breakey

Why should I want to entice you anyway? And the truth is I don't... (Or is it?)

Ellipsis...Ellipsis...Ellipsis... How many of those would you read I wonder before you threw in the towel?

Sorry, but it has not been an easy morning.

A few hours ago, I was very much wanting to be dead. Not long after that I considered killing the dog. Poor dumb innocent creature. Yes, that's me. A fool of the first order!

Must look up ‘of the first order! Shall do it now. No time like the present - allegedly.

Initially I am distracted from the research because I feel that first I should check to see whether or not World War Three is about to start. I refer to two national newspaper sites.

A quick glance at the latest updates and it looks as though we may certainly be a few steps closer to ‘the mother of all battles’ ~ but that as yet, no one has started firing directly at the UK. So, I guess I can ‘keep calm and carry on’?

HEALTHY START

January is the right time for a reset. Nothing extreme, just food to help you feel good. Think fresh flavours, colourful plates and meals as nourishing as they are comforting. Soothing soups, vibrant salads and a spicy curry are on my menu plus, of course, the odd selection box chocolate which needs eating up!
