Stranded pair rescued from Holy Island causeway

TWO people were rescued from the Holy Island Causeway after their vehicle was cut off by the tide.

The RNLI received reports two adults were stranded on the roof of their car at around 5.40pm on August 27.
Seahouses RNLI Lifeboat was launched with the team receiving further reports the adults had managed to wade to the refuge hut on the causeway midpoint.
