Shopkeepers fined for sale of illegal e-cigs

TWO shopkeepers in Percy Main have been fined thousands of pounds for supplying illegal e-cigarettes.

Daljit Kaur and Navtej Singh Hyare, who both operate businesses on Burdon Street, pleaded guilty to multiple offences.
On September 26, Kaur, who trades as The Village Store, admitted three offences under the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016, including supplying and possessing e-cigarettes containing nicotine above the legal limit.
She was ordered to pay £1,816 in total, including fines, a victim surcharge, and legal costs.
