Restaurant sorry to confirm closure

A RESTAURANT in Newcastle has announced it is closing for good - just months after it was included in the Michelin Guide.

In a statement posted to social media, Hide, on Chillingham Road in Heaton, told customers of the decision 'with much sadness and a heavy heart'. Sister restaurant Nest, which is across the street, remains open.

Of the 16 venues added to the renowned restaurant and hotels guide in July, Hide was the only one from the North East.

Owner Jack Brown and head chef Aaron McLellan teamed up to create a menu using locally sourced ingredients from places such as Coneygarth Farm in Morpeth.
