BOLDON, needing a win to secure promotion to the NEPL Division One, were asked to bat first at Littletown.

After a stuttering start, Lohan De Zoysa steadied the ship with a brilliant 121 from 97 balls, including 16 fours and three sixes. Joseph Forster then hammered 69 not out from 59 balls, in a final total of 278-6. The home side then lost early wickets, as De Zoysa claimed 4-7 and Anthony Brown 3-19 and they were all out for 66 runs, handing Boldon the title and promotion.
