Pool to stay closed to allow for improvements

A popular North East swimming pool will remain closed until next month due to improvement works.

Waves leisure centre in Whitley Bay closed to the public on Monday.
The planned closure has been put in place to allow renovation works to take place, including new air conditioning to be installed in the gym and dance studios. The gym will reopen on Monday, and exercise classes will resume as normal.
