Pervert in court over sex chats to ‘13-year-old’

A NORTHUMBERLAND pervert was snared by paedophile hunters after sending sex chats to what he believed was an underage girl.
Logan Thew began sending sexual messages to what he thought was a 13-year-old girl named Chloe last year.
But in fact, the 24-year-old was chatting to an adult decoy working for a team of paedophile hunters. Despite sending images of his genitals to the decoy, the construction worker avoided an immediate prison sentence.
Thew, of Scots Street, Cramlington, appeared at Newcastle Crown Court last week to be sentenced for attempting to engage in sexual communications with a child. He had pleaded guilty to the offence, which was commit-
