Pedro didn't want to live in North East

JOAO Pedro has admitted he turned down Newcastle United because he didn't fancy the move to the North East.

The Magpies watched on in June as a £50m bid fell short for the Brazil international before Pedro made it clear to his agent that he only wanted Chelsea.
But despite head coach Eddie Howe eager to sell him his ambitious Newcastle project, Pedro proceeded with the switch to Stamford Bridge with the 23-year-old netting twice in his first three Premier League matches.
Pedro, speaking to the Evening Standard in the capital, said: “When | was in Brighton, | was missing London a little bit.
