New celebration brings together area's best food

A NEW event has celebrated some of the best produce the North East has to offer.
Hundreds of people gathered at Ad Gefrin, in Wooler, for a one-day celebration of Northumberland's rich food heritage and culture.
The Gaderung celebrated the start of 'Lammas,' the Anglo-Saxon season of harvest. It brought together local farmers, makers, bakers, chefs, creatives, musicians, storytellers and communities for a modern-day harvest festival rooted in the land, people and produce of Northumberland and the wider North East region.
