Moore praised the spirit of his Hebburn Town players as they claimed a last-gasp win over North East rivals Morpeth Town.An early penalty from Gary Martin put the Hornets in front but Morpeth appeared to have rallied to a point thanks to an equaliser from Nic Bollado 12 minutes from time.
However, an injury-time own goal from Highwaymen keeper Isaac Allan ensured it was the hosts that snatched the points and left their manager to deliver a positive message to his players in the aftermath of the win.
Moore said: “It was deserved I think and at halftime they couldn't have complained if we were four or five up.
“They were always going to get a chance and it was the only chance they had. It's the lads off the bench making the difference for us and the spirit we showed, we deserved it in the end.”
