Joe's Toon future is still up in the air

JOE Willock has had to be more patient than most this season. Sidelined by a terrific trio of Sandro Tonali, Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton, the ex-Arsenal man has been forced to watch and wait for an opening in Eddie Howe's side.

That opportunity belatedly arrived last month, with Joelinton sidelined and facing a race against time to return in time for the culmination of the Premier League season.
Willock was thrown in from the outset for clashes with Ipswich Town and Brighton and Hove Albion but has struggled to make his mark - and now faces his own spell on the treatment table after missing Sunday's win over Chelsea.
