Howe: I can assure everybody that there is money to spend

United boss Eddie Howe has insisted that he is in a position to spend money this January after being asked about the £130m fortune the club picked up for Alexander Isak in the summer.The Magpies remain in a defensive crisis, with Howe's squad being pushed to the limit due to participation in both domestic cups and the Champions League.
A defender is on the wish-list for Newcastle with Fabian Schar and Tino Livramento now facing long spells on the sidelines but Howe says a review on transfers is likely.
