SAY HELLO TO YOUR NEXT GAMING FIX AND SAVE YOURSELF SOME CASH WITH ONE OF THESE INDIE BANGERS

- CHERYL MULLIN

WITH the current cost of living I’m always thinking about how I can save money when it comes to buying new games.

It's hard to justify splurging £60+ on the latest AAA title when there are more important things to be spending on. So it’s a relief to know indie games have got my back.

Often much cheaper than the big releases, these gems are just as good - if not better - than some of the titles from the bigger studios.

So if you’re hunting for your next gaming fix with a tighter budget this March, here are a few titles you should be considering.

Scott Pilgrim EX (PEGI 7)

Platform: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox X/S, Switch, Switch 2, PCPrice: £24.99

The Scott Pilgrim books are 22 years old this year and have already spawned a movie, a game and a Netflix anime series.

This side-scrolling beat em’ up links in with the 2023 anime, Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, with the game's events set after that show. You can play as the titular hero, Ramona Flowers or several other characters from the Scott Pilgrim universe as gang warfare rages between the Vegans, the Robots and the Demons.
